Mystic Sea Aquarium April 2009

I finally got out to do something on my vacation this week. I wanted to go to Boston really bad, but Dave never took the day off and plus Matt gave Dave and I colds. We have been feeling yucky, however, I was determined to do something, so I took Matt to Mystic. Just the two of us with some Mom and son time. It was a lot of fun. We saw the Sea Lion show, the inside exhibit, had lunch together and then walked around outside to view the Beluga Whales, marsh pond, Dolphins that were sent from Chicago in holding while they rebuild their Dolphin exhibit and Matt's favorite Penquins. I even bought him a huge stuffed penquin. We got home and he asked me to put Happy Feet on and Madagascar I and II to whatch penquins. We only made it through Happy feet, thank god. I don't thing I could have made it through all three movies at once. Ha. Anyway enjoy the pics. Again my camera isn't working great, but I got a few good pics while we were there.

Easter 2009

Easter was a lot of fun. Dave's family came over so we had 6 adults and 3 kids. Madison and Caitlyn looked beautiful in their Easter dresses and Matt wore a shirt and hoodie from the Easter bunny. He loves Hollister now, since it comes from California were Uncle Tim lives. His new shirt says Huntington Beach. He had a lot of food. I made a Turkey with Mash potatoes, cooked carrots, Spinach casserole, stuffing, rolls, Diane brought Kielbasa and Ham. For dessert I made a special Easter Cup Cake, a few small cup cakes and Auntie Jen and Uncle Dan brought Apple Pie and Wine. We were all so full. Madison got a Baby Alive from the Easter Bunny, WE had an Egg hunt, and The kids got some nice gifts from all the adults. Always sad to see the day end. Here are a few pics. My camera isn't working right, so I couldn't get to many. Hope everyone else had as much fun. Love from the Fitzmorris's family.

Tiki

Tiki was our bird. She was a grey and white Cocatail. We had her for about 6-8 years, not even sure, but didn't seem that long since she passed away this past weekend. Birds are suppose to live 25 years and I always joked I would have to put her in my will. She really seemed fine one day and then the next not. Dave and I are a little sad she is gone. She was more my baby then anyones elses. She would come to me mostly and sit on my shoulder and peck at my earrings. She only whistled (males talk) and never was noisy at night. She really was very sweet, except to Matt, she would try to attack him and so when he was not sad she left us, I couldn't blame him. I don't know what sparked her anger towards him, but boy she really didn't like him, to the point it was kind of funny. Well just a cyber prayer out to Tiki, we will miss you and loved you. You were a part of our family. Peace out...

March 19, 2009

Finally we are starting to get warmer weather. It is New England and don't expect it to last, however, I will take this now and enjoy. Matt has been trying out for Baseball at the Middle School. They only take two sixth graders out of all trying out, so we don't expect anything to happen. I give him credit for trying and at least putting his face in front of the Coach. Who knows what will happen, but maybe next year or 8th grade will be something. Dave will be Coaching the Recreation team (Mets) that Matt will be on. We have a great group of kids signed up and a nice guy for assistant Coach, so I think it will be a FUN season. I got tickets to go see Phantom of the Opera with a friend of mine. That is in May and can't wait. Dave took the rest of this week off, well deserved, so hopefully we will have some fun. I still work, but at least he can enjoy some quiet moments at home. Nothing really big right now for us, hope everyone is doing well! Love, Tracey

SNOW, SNOW, SNOW

AHHHHH MORE SNOW COMING. I am going stir crazy. No matter how busy we have been, I don't want anymore snow. I want sun and the beach and walking outside. This has been a LOOOONG WINTER and it isn't over. This stuff usually bothers Dave, but He even has been asking what is wrong with you. Oh, nothing just missing my Vitamin D from the SUN! AHHHH!!
I'll get some pics tomorrow into Monday, suppose to get 8 inches. In Wolcott, that mean a foot or more. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was a lot of fun. Firts Matt had two friends sleepover on Friday. They are great kids and they had a lot of fun. The boys had the run of the downstairs and they sleep down there to. We have Wii, Ping Pong, Kickboxing bag, Basketball hoop, their own bedroom and bathroom, what a setup. Matt has it made. WE ordered pizza for them and yes, Matt finally eats pizza with white sauce, but that is fine. Anything new is great! I made them brownies and they got to frost and paint them with food coloring. All boys were picked up at 11 this morning. We got a call two days ago that Matt's indoor soccer was starting today. We ran out and bought him new sneakers and while we were at Kohl's buying them we hit a huge sale going on, a ton of stuff for 80-90 percent off. How can you go wrong. Dave and I bought a whole new wardrobe, plus me sneakers and Matt. Matt got some hoodies and a t-shirt, so he didn't do bad either. We were psyched. Oh, and mom would have LOVED MATT. He is now into Hollister, Aborcrombe and Finch. WE had to buy him Aborcrombe and Finch Cologne for V-day (Fierce it is called) He was the one that begged me for it. Even though Dave and I hate that stuff, the smell isn't to bad at least. I just laugh, because I was not into shopping like he is right now (and expensive). Wow Mom would have loved it (ha)
Anyway, Dave got a new Watch from me, I got dinner made for me and a box of Kahulua chocolates, Matt also got Derek Jeters Cologne from Avon and a box of Reeses Chocolates. It was a fun day. Thinking of all the family and hoping they had just as nice a V-day as we did.
Love all of you, Tracey, Dave and Matt

January 11, 2009

We woke up to snow, but not as much as they perdicted. It is still enough for Matt to have fun sledding. The dogs were outside having fun in the snow. The pictures are of them getting treats after coming in. I got all three together! The only problem Matt was having, is it is to cold, so he cannot make snowballs or snowmen. Maybe next time. Have a great Sunday and go Giants, Go Steelers!

Double click the pictures

When you double click the pictures and make them larger, you can see the ice much better.

Ice storm 2009

We had a major ice storm yesterday. School was cancelled, which worked out great for Matt. I was watching a friend of his, with school cancelled they had a lot of fun playing all day. Today we had a 90 minute delay. Matt goes in later, but I still go in regular hours, so he was on his own this morning getting ready for school. Of course with three dogs watching him I don't worry about him. Driving in and on the way home, it was a beautiful sight with all the ice on the trees and the sun shining through. I took some pictures of it for everyone, but especially for Emilie, Jack and Hannah, since they don't get to see this at their home. It can be a little destructive, too. You will see one picture has a large branch that came down and took out our swing. It is o.k., we will use the branch for fire wood, so it all works out in the end. Have a great day and enjoy the view. Oh, and you will see the dogs enjoy it.
